The city administration targets Jl MH Thamrin to be used as a pilot project of opening building fence for pedestrian expansion. The building owner who is willing to open the fence will be compensated.

Compensation is in the form of the building owner's Land and Building Tax (PBB) that will be calculated is only its building and will be free from tax in term of LED installation.
Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama disclosed, the early stage of the expansion project is targeting the building in around Jl MH Thamrin, starting from Monas to HI Roundabout and vice versa.
